Abstract

A Febre Chikungunya (FC) é uma doença infecciosa e viral, considerada uma arbovirose causada pelo vírus Chikungunya (CHIKV) e transmitida principalmente pela picada de fêmeas dos mosquitos Aedes Aegypti e Aedes albopictus infectados. Os sinais e sintomas incluem febre de início súbito, cefaleia, náuseas, exantema, dores musculares e dores articulares, na maioria das vezes, intensas, constantes e intermitentes. Entretanto, em alguns casos, a artralgia e o acometimento reumático podem se cronificar, persistindo por até 5 anos. As alterações histopatológicas sinoviais causadas pela presença do CHIKV possuem um padrão semelhante ao da artrite reumatoide, e o edema articular é frequentemente simétrico e distribui-se predominantemente em pequenas articulações, tais como pulsos, pés e tornozelos. Nesse contexto, a termografia demonstrou-se possível detectar inflamações associadas a FC, visto que já é comprovada a importância desse exame no estudo da dor e da inflamação.  O objetivo do estudo foi correlacionar os sintomas de dores articulares em pacientes com FC atendidos no Hospital Universitário Walter Cantídio com seus respectivos achados de termográficos de hiperradiação. No presente estudo, foram analisados 27 pacientes diagnosticados com Chikungunya pelo quadro clínico e método sorológico com no mínimo 3 meses de evolução, analisando o percentual de pacientes que referiram dor e a confirmação termográfica. As regiões mais acometidas, relatadas por dor pelos pacientes, foram as mãos (77,7%) e os pés (55,5%), e a maior porcentagem de confirmação pela termografia foi nos pés (93,3%). Concluiu-se que os sintomas de dores articulares em pacientes com FC atendidos foram confirmados pelos achados de termográficos de hiperradiação em todas as regiões analisadas,  principalmente a região dos pés
