Abstract

A pesquisa sobre Building Information Modeling (BIM) está crescendo rapidamente. Entretanto, poucas investigações apresentam uma síntese abrangente do conhecimento BIM, especialmente entre 2015 e 2019. Diante dessa lacuna, dois objetivos foram traçados: (i) atualizar o mapeamento do conhecimento BIM; (ii) verificar se os mapeamentos anteriores permanecem válidos. Para isso, inicialmente buscou-se por mapeamentos da literatura BIM já publicados. Na sequência, 1.685 artigos publicados em periódicos disponíveis na Web of Science foram selecionados para atualizar o corpo de conhecimento do BIM. O CiteSpace foi adotado para auxiliar a identificação das principais áreas e tópicos de pesquisa BIM, bem como das lacunas na literatura e tópicos emergentes. A comparação com os mapeamentos anteriores sugere que a literatura BIM é sólida e dinâmica. Este artigo pretende fornecer uma compreensão ampla, porém não exaustiva, do status quo para a pesquisa BIM e espera ajudar a formular agendas para pesquisas futuras.
