Abstract


A infecção pelo coronavírus (COVID-19) foi identificada pela primeira vez em Wuhan na China em dezembro de 2019 e contribui significativamente para uma elevada taxa de mortalidade em vários países. As alterações laboratoriais mais frequentes em pacientes com COVID-19 são aumento da proteína C reativa (PCR) com diminuição da albumina sérica e contagem total de leucócitos com considerável variação, conforme relatos na literatura, por vezes aparecendo alta ou diminuída, mas com evidente presença de linfopenia. Este estudo constitui uma revisão de literatura de caráter analítico objetivando colher dados a respeito das alterações hematológicas. Nos resultados e discussões encontramos 25% de leucopenia e 63% de linfopenia. Através da pesquisa, conclui que a COVID-19 possui manisfestações no sistema hematopoiético que está associado com hipercoagubilidade e linfopenia, o que pode determinar a gravidade do quadro do paciente, bem como o prognóstico.
