Abstract


Pleurotus ostreatoroseus é um cogumelo brasileiro cultivado e consumido em algumas regiões do país. No entanto, pouco se conhece a respeito de sua composição e efeitos biológicos. Com o intuito de promover a popularização desta espécie nativa e a segurança alimentar para o consumo este estudo teve como objetivo analisar os compostos bioativos e os efeitos antioxidante e antiproliferativo do extrato hidroalcóolico de Pleurotus ostreatoroseus Singer. Foram estimadas as concentrações em compostos fenólicos, ácido ascórbico e carotenoides. Os efeitos biológicos foram analisados por meio método de descoloração do radical DPPH e teste do Allium cepa. Foi observado que P. ostreatoroseus apresenta concentração em compostos bioativos superior a outros cogumelos do gênero e como consequência apresenta boa atividade antioxidante. Com relação aos efeitos sobre o ciclo celular de A. cepa foi verificado efeito antiproliferativo por redução do índice mitótico e ausência de genotoxicidade. Assim, P. ostreatoroseus pode ser indicado para consumo com segurança quanto à mutagenicidade e a pode beneficiar a saúde pela qualidade em compostos bioativos e efeitos biológicos potenciais.
