Abstract

O aumento crescente de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis entre as mulheres, com destaque para as doenças cardiovasculares tornou-se um fator preocupante em todo o mundo. Fatores fisiológicos associados à fatores ambientais, dentre eles as mudanças comportamentais da mulher do século passado para a atual vêm proporcionado uma alteração no contexto da saúde do público feminino impactando no tônus vascular e endotelial deste gênero. O entendimento de tais mudanças se faz necessária como medida protetora e promoção de qualidade de vida cardíaca para as mulheres, sendo o objetivo deste trabalho de revisão.
