Abstract

Este trabalho objetiva investigar se a Frequência Fundamental (F0) interfere na percepção das vogais médias não arredondadas em ouvintes naturais de Vitória da Conquista – BA. Propõe pesquisar se a manipulação apenas da F0, tanto para valores ascendentes quanto para valores descendentes, interfere a inteligibilidade das vogais médias não arredondadas no dialeto dessa comunidade linguística de sorte a confundir o timbre vocálico a ser percebido. Para isso manipulamos a Frequência Fundamental de forma a obter valores ampliados e reduzidos em 25%, 50% e 75% do valor original. Os resultados sinalizam que a manipulação da frequência fundamental tanto para valores ascendentes quanto para valores descendentes afetou a percepção das vogais médias não arredondada.
