Abstract

Nos últimos anos, em virtude da revolução do conhecimento em curso, o setor elétrico também está inserido em um processo de transformações tecnológicas, sem precedentes, no cenário mundial. Essas transformações são desencadeadas pela inserção sólida e gradual dos recursos energéticos distribuídos, a partir da geração de energia elétrica de fontes renováveis e com o avanço das tecnologias de informação e comunicação. As mudanças estruturais motivadas pelas transformações do setor elétrico abrem espaço para utilização de novas tecnologias que possam promover a transição para sistemas de energia mais descarbonizados, descentralizados e confiáveis, acelerando a digitalização. Um exemplo é a tecnologia blockchain. A blockchain é uma estrutura digital que pode conter transações digitais, registros de dados e executáveis. O objetivo principal da tecnologia blockchain é remover a necessidade de intermediários e substituí-los por uma rede distribuída de usuários digitais que trabalham em parceria para verificar transações e garantir a integridade do registro. Este trabalho irá analisar os impactos da tecnologia blockchain no setor elétrico, investigando os desafios e as oportunidades dessas aplicações. A análise dos projetos aplicados fisicamente sobre blockchain no setor elétrico em âmbito mundial também é contemplada no presente artigo. O estudo será realizado com base em revisões sistemáticas da literatura e os resultados esperados são a discussão das pesquisas encontradas, investigando os desafios e as oportunidades da tecnologia blockchain no setor elétrico, a fim de avaliar o impacto da mesma na nova configuração do sistema energético. Além disso, apresenta-se uma análise sobre as aplicações existentes dessa nova tecnologia no setor elétrico mundial, sendo destacadas como principais aplicações a Comercialização de energia elétrica em Smart Grids, Geração Distribuída, Veículos Elétricos e Smart home.
