Abstract

Considera-se a infância um período crucial para o desenvolvimento por sua capacidade de representação do futuro. Além disto, pessoas com plenas potencialidades interagem e interferem no ambiente e na sociedade em que estão inseridos. Neste sentido, o conhecimento dos fatores ambientais, econômicos e sociais relacionados à motricidade infantil contribui para o processo de desenvolvimento humano. Este estudo tem por objetivo representar se os fatores ambientais água e esgotamento sanitário condicionam o desenvolvimento motor de crianças entre 1 e 12 meses de idade no município de Pontal do Paraná, Paraná, Brasil. A metodologia consistiu em um estudo de caso. Os dados foram coletados entre outubro de 2013 a outubro de 2017, com uma amostra de 1932 casos de crianças de 1 a 12 meses de idade, de ambos os sexos e a criação de uma base de dados, que possibilitou a extração de regras de classificação por meio do processo de mineração de dados. Conclui-se que os condicionantes socioeconômicos e ambientais complementam o estudo do desenvolvimento infantil ao permitir o mapeamento das relações entre indivíduo e território, bem como dos fatores que se associam às perturbações na motricidade infantil.
