Estratégias para ampliação do rastreamento de câncer colorretal em população de risco / Strategies for expanding colorectal cancer screening in risk population

Introdução: O câncer colorretal (CCR) é o terceiro tipo de câncer mais comum em todo o mundo, respondendo, atualmente, por aproximadamente 10% de todos os casos de câncer e mortes no mundo. Quando diagnosticado no estágio inicial da doença, sua taxa de sobrevida é superior a 80%, entretanto, quando diagnosticado no estágio avançado, a taxa é de 10%. Objetivo: Discorrer sobre estratégias de rastreamento do CCR para ampliar e melhorar o diagnóstico precoce e diminuir a morbimortalidade pela neoplasia. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura, na qual foram selecionados diversos artigos na base de dados PubMed, de 2018 a 2021, usando os descritores “colorectal neoplasms”, “health education”, “mass screening” e “early detection of cancer”. Resultados: Dentre os artigos selecionados, oito tiveram maior relevância. Eles consistem em ensaios clínicos randomizados e não randomizados, estudos transversais e estudos prospectivos não randomizados, sendo a maioria escritos em língua inglesa. Conclusão: É notória a importância do diagnóstico precoce para redução da morbimortalidade decorrente do CCR, porém ainda há grandes barreiras para a melhora do seu rastreamento. Desta forma, faz-se necessária a promoção e ampliação de estratégias educativas adaptadas à população alvo, bem como facilitar a acessibilidade aos métodos de rastreio.
