Aborto recorrente e trombofilia gestacional: de aspectos epidemiológicos à profilaxia / Recurrent abortion and gestational thrombophilia: from epidemiological aspects to prophylaxis

Introdução: Ao longo da história humana, a gestação e o parto sempre estiveram associados a uma etapa de muita atenção, já que o risco de um desfecho negativo tanto para a mãe quanto para o feto é presente desde o início do processo. Nesse quadro, destaca-se o abortamento de repetição (AR) em mulheres com trombofilia hereditária (TH) que apesar do avanço da tecnologia e das ciências médicas, continua sendo um desafio, uma vez que são responsáveis por elevadas taxas de óbitos materno-fetal. Objetivo: Investigar, interpretar e revisar os achados sobre epidemiologia, AR, TH, a relação entre eles, e, por fim, métodos diagnósticos e profiláticos referente à TH. Metodologia: Utilizou-se a base Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE/PubMed), sob os descritores Recurrent abortion; Thrombophilia; Pregnancy, com a seleção de artigos de revisão e artigos originais, seguindo critérios de elegibilidade. Foram encontrados 549 textos, com seleção inicial de 60, dos quais restaram 23 artigos elegíveis. Resultados: Os artigos, em sua maioria redigidos em língua inglesa, contemplavam também publicações de autores e periódicos de diferentes nacionalidades. A maioria dos artigos abrangiam os anos de 2012 (cinco) e 2016 (três), e grande parte foi publicada nos últimos seis anos. Considerações finais: O AR em mulheres com TH continua sendo um desafio médico apesar do avanço da medicina, uma vez que são responsáveis por elevadas taxas de óbitos materno-fetal, entre outras comorbidades.
