Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo foi apresentar uma revisão de literatura acerca da ação antimicrobiana das micocinas produzidas por Wickerhamomyces anomalus. Uma busca em publicações de 2016 a 2021 foi realizada nas bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciElo) e Pubmed, cruzando-se os termos “Wickerhamomyces anomalus”, “killer toxins” e “mycocins”. Foi utilizado como critério de exclusão os artigos de revisão de literatura e aqueles não relacionados ao tema. Foram encontrados 16 artigos, e após uma leitura crítica de títulos e resumos, selecionou-se 13 para a escrita deste artigo.
