Abstract

Trata-se de um estudo retrospectivo que teve por objetivo avaliar o impacto da dor musculoesquelética na funcionalidade de pacientes com fibromialgia. A amostragem foi constituída por 20 questionários de mulheres com diagnóstico de fibromialgia e que se encontravam em nível ambulatorial, sendo as variáveis analisadas: idade, presença de dor musculoesquelética e limitação ou perda funcional dos movimentos da coluna vertebral. Os resultados demonstraram que existe uma forte correlação entre dor lombar e limitação dos movimentos da coluna vertebral em pacientes com fibromialgia. Conclui-se que a dor musculoesquelética ocasiona elevado impacto na funcionalidade de pacientes portadores de fibromialgia e que os aspectos físicos e psicossociais devem ser considerados em uma abordagem multidisciplinar sendo valorizada a utilização de instrumentos capazes de quantificar a dor musculoesquelética.
