Síndrome de Burnout: Estratégias de enfrentamento de profissionais da enfermagem de um hospital referência em doenças infectocontagiosas / Burnout's syndrome: Strategies for coping with nursing professionals in a hospital references in infectocontagious diseases

Abstract


Objetivo: descrever a ocorrência de casos sugestivos da Síndrome de Burnout e identificar estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas para lidar com estresse em profissionais de Enfermagem. Método: Estudo descritivo, prospectivo. Elegeram-se para o estudo enfermeiros, técnicos e auxiliares de Enfermagem das Unidades de Terapia Intensiva, enfermarias e ambulatório, maiores de dezoito anos, de ambos os gêneros. Resultados: mostrou-se que 62% dos avaliados apresentaram nível moderado ou alto de Burnout destes, 12% relataram que o medo de se contaminar com o paciente HIV os deixavam tensos, e alguns (6%), por esse motivo, informaram que trocariam de Instituição. A maior prevalência de Burnout se deu entre funcionários que trabalhavam entre 51-60 horas semanais (35%). Conclusão: destaca-se a necessidade da reestruturação de políticas institucionais que viabilizem a melhoria do clima organizacional e a implantação do serviço de psicologia organizacional para atendimento aos profissionais.
