Uma revisão sobre a Vitamina D seus efeitos e problematizações em sua ausência/ Review of Vitamin D and its effects and problems in its absence

Abstract

Cerca de 90% da vitamina D é obtida pela síntese cutânea após exposição aos raios UVB e os 10% restantes obtidos através da dieta. A síntese cutânea é favorecida aos indivíduos de pele clara, que necessitam de uma exposição solar diária entre 10 e 15 minutos no período das 10:00 as 15:00, ou duas horas semanais. Frente a grande aplicabilidade da vitamina D no meio médico, o trabalho tem a intenção de trazer informações relativas a mesma na forma de revisão da literatura. Foi realizado revisão da literatura nas bases como Biblioteca Virtual em   Saúde, Google Scholar, Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs), Scientific Electronic Library online (Scielo) e o PubMed. A deficiência de vitamina D já é considerada um importante problema de saúde pública, tanto no Brasil, quanto no mundo. Os fatores de risco para hipovitaminose D são de origem multifatorial, podem envolver deficiência materna de vitamina D durante a gestação e amamentação, esse último, quando associado a uso exclusivo do aleitamento materno; localização geográfica, uso demasiado de protetores solares, pigmentação cutânea escura e cobertura em excesso do corpo. É possível avaliar que a Vitamina D é de extrema importância para o desenvolvimento de diversos sistemas em várias fases da vida, além de seu efeito protetor em sistemas cardiovascular, ósseo, regulação de patologias como diabetes, ação frente a células tumorais entre outros.
