Abstract

A pandemia do novo coronavírus, COVID-19, tem causado grandes mudanças no estilo de vida da população mundial. Para evitar o aumento do contágio da doença, a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) e vários organizações médicas e governamentais sugeriram ou o Distanciamento Social como principal estratégia para conter a pandemia, essa ação levou milhões de pessoas a ficarem reclusas em suas casas. Como consequênciapode haver diminuições drásticas nos níveis de atividade física da população. O objetivo de trabalho é explicar os motivos pelos quais a prática regular de exercícios físicos não deve ser interrompida durante a pandemia e os efeitos benéficos proporcionados pelos exercícios físicos na saúde física e mental das pessoas em Distanciamento Social.
